Bottega Veneta Reveals Spring/Summer 17 Show Venue for Milan Fashion Week
If you’re an avid follower of Bag Addicts Anonymous, you’d remember that in a blogpost I wrote earlier this year, I mentioned that Bottega Veneta will be combining both the women’s and men’s collections this September (for the House’s 50th Anniversary) during Milan Fashion Week at an undisclosed location. Now, the long wait is over! The brand revealed that show will be held at the historical site, Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan (translation: Brera Academy).
The show will be staged in the corridors of the Accademia, flanked by classical sculptures and artworks on either side between the classrooms. This is also the FIRST TIME EVER that Creative Director Tomas Maier has chosen to showcase the collection outside its own venues.
This particular venue is also symbolic and significant for Bottega Veneta, and its commitment to support an Accademia di Brera educational programme during the 2016/2017 academic year by providing scholarships for students.
“Bottega Veneta is about the creative work of the hand. To celebrate my 15th anniversary, and the 50th of the house, I am happy to stage our show at the Academia, and to do so in the presence of all the artisans and people who have supported us” Creative Director, Tomas Maier
The upcoming show will take place on September 24th, at 9:30am CET. Tune in live on BottegaVeneta.com
