Event Post: Hermès Store Reopening at Pavilion KL

Last week, Hermès celebrated the reopening of its duplex store at Pavilion KL. Measuring a total of 254 square metres, with a layout that best presents the Maison’s 16 metiers, and, for the first time in Malaysia, an entire area dedicated to homeware and furnishings. The boutique was designed under the artistic direction of Denis Montel, RDAI, the Parisian architectural agency, which has been responsible for the creation of all Hermès stores worldwide.

And of course, at the main entrance, like every Hermès boutique, you’d see the House’s “Faubourg”-patterned stoneware mosaic floor, but this time, juxtaposed against deep brown teak flooring, thus a melding of both Malaysian elements infused into the store design. Once you step into the store, you’d notice the impressive backlit staircase, along with the women’s silk, jewellery, accessories, and fragrances universe. Step further into the store, and there’s something for the men too, with an entire section dedicated to men’s ready-to-wear, masculine silk, and home collections.

Take the stairs up to the second floor, and you’d find yourselves in the leather, jewellery and watch departments, along with an area for the equestrian collection, women’s ready-to-wear, and a VIP space at the back of the store.

Special thanks to Hermès for having me at the preview of your new store!
