On Saturday, the Niche Retailing group (that has brands such as Valentino, Red Valentino, Kenzo, Sergio Rossi, M Missoni, McQ, Antoinette, Leo) hosted an afternoon tea and Fall/Winter 14 preview for select media and of course, their VIP customers. A cosy corner beside the Missoni boutique on Star Hill’s Adorn Floor was cordoned off for the event. Plush navy velvet curtains were used as as the backdrop, coupled with ambient lighting, and not forgetting the Philippe Starck Kartell chairs were all part of the setup.

Savoury canapés were on the bottom layer, while the middle and top layers were dedicated to sugary delights that featured the Fall/Winter 14 season’s key prints and pieces from McQ, Valentino, Kenzo, and Sergio Rossi. To top it all off, we were also given a “creative menu” detailing the inspirations behind these delectable sweet treats. In fact, they were too pretty to eat and we media peeps actually left the “bags” untouched!

Gah! He is such a cutie! In fact, he probably knew it, and he was milking it the entire presentation, winking and looking cheekily and flirtatiously at the society ladies..

And then the iconic knits of Missoni which is carried over into the sub-line, M Missoni:

While there were certainly more looks being shown at the FW14 presentation, these were the only shots that I managed because the photographers at the event were basically running after the models with their cameras instead of staying put in a designated photog area, therefore opportune moments to snap photos of the models were few and far between.
