Dior’s Christmas Windows

Dior has recently unveiled its “Inspirations Parisiennes” Christmas windows at the Printemps Department store in Paris. There are 11 window displays in total, each adhering to one of the 4 Christmas themes – “Winter Garden”, “Café at the Train Station”, “The Banquet”, “Opera” and “Avenue Montaigne” – and focussing on Haute Couture, Watchmaking and Perfumes.

If you think that isn’t spectacular enough as it is, there are also 4 animated window displays – “Skating Rink at the Eiffel Tower”, “Rooftops and Balloons”, “The Fair”, and “Ball”. 74 dolls were specially designed by Dior’s Haute Couture Atelier wearing 12 different designs from the Dior archives, from Christian Dior’s Bar suit to Raf Simons’s Autumn/Winter 2012 designs.

And watch the dolls dancing, skating, moving and flying in the animated windows in action.

Impressive work indeed! One can only imagine the time taken to put them together, from the drawing board to making them come to life! Truly magical! Bravo!
