Yes I know I’m a few days late, because I first wanted to finish up the Fashion Month posts, and then get my collaboration posts up and running. And now that I’ve done that, here’s the news that you probably already heard: Balenciaga has announced its new Creative Director, 34-year-old Georgian-born Demna Gvasalia. Not only is the designer is the founder of the Paris label Vetements and also possesses a Master’s degree from the Royal Academy of Fine Art in Antwerp, his previous appointments were at Maison Martin Margiela, and was senior designer for a year at Louis Vuitton. Gvasalia will present his debut Fall/Winter 16 collection for Balenciaga in late-February 2016 during Paris Fashion Week. Now, let’s see what he has up his sleeves.
