First thing that comes to mind when we think of Chanel, well, 2.55 bag aside, is its pearls, but in 1932, the designer created her first and only fine jewellery collection that’s made up entirely of diamonds, explaining that she wanted to “shower women in constellations”. She single-handedly re-defined the jewellery-making process, bringing innovations such as clasp-less jewellery and invisible mounting of diamonds.
