Marni makes history with its FIRST EVER advertising campaign. Starring Dutch model Marti Mei van Haaster and shot by Jackie Nickerson, the Fall/Winter 15 campaign is not just making brand history, but also, fashion history in a way. I mean, with all the brands scrambling to get the biggest names in fashion and music to create that fashion buzz – Katy Perry, Cara Delevingne, Kate Moss, Kendall Jenner,  Karlie Kloss, Donatella Versace, and Madonna, to name a few – you’d think that getting a(nother) instantly recognisable face would be best for one’s first campaign. But no, Marni takes the road less travelled (or rather, untravelled) because we don’t even see the model’s face at all! But, perhaps that really was part of a cleverly calculated plan because with so many celebs starring in campaigns, this faceless campaign sure stands out amongst the sea of familiar faces. As unorthodox as it is, I’m sure this would certainly generate some buzz/conversations on its own.
