Trio of Fashion Films: Hermès, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton
Since I’m sick in bed, I haven’t the energy to do a review for the current Milan Fashion Week shows just yet. So to keep you occupied before my next post, here are 3 Fashion Films that were launched in the past week or so (which I haven’t yet posted about because I was doing the Fashion Week reviews). Happy watching!! xx
Film #1: Hermès – “The Gift of Time”
This year, Hermès celebrates “The Gift of Time”. The lesson to be taken from this video? That time is precious, so take time doing what you love, and do things well.
“Time is our ally, a precious ingredient in the creation of an Hermès object. It is the time it takes to do things well, for beauty to be unveiled. IT is also a time of discovery, a time to play, a time of pleasure”
– Quote by Hermès
Enjoy the video!
Film # 2: Chanel: “My New Friend Boy”
I’m sure you’ve heard all about the buzz surrounding Alice Dellal and Chanel. “My New Friend Boy” is directed once again, by Karl Lagerfeld, and aside as the piano to the soundtrack of the film, it’s a completely silent film featuring Dellal, the new face of Chanel and the Boy collection.
Film #3 : Louis Vuitton: “When Hong Kong Is a Woman”
Directed by Jean-Claude Thibaut, this short film is a collaboration with Louis Vuitton. Entitled “When Hong Kong Is a Woman”, it is the personification of Hong Kong as a woman.
Which film did YOU like?
