Forget ox or cow-themed characters, Gucci has instead released a Doraemon Capsule for the Lunar New Year, in conjunction with the popular manga’s 50th Anniversary. This collection, featuring ready-to-wear, bags, and accessories as well as footwear for both men and women, features this celebrated blue cat-type robot anime character, juxtaposed against the GG motif.

As with all themed collaborations and collections, the Doraemon 2021 Lunar New Year Collection has its dedicated sustainable packaging with fully recyclable green bags and matching swing tickets that reference the cartoon’s 50th anniversary, featuring this adorable character.

This little mischievous cat will also be taking over store facades and installations in different cities, including Malaysia, so stay tuned for that! Bespoke entertainment will also be available on the Gucci App, where you can see this little fella in Augmented Reality.

Oh wait, did I say forget about the Ox? Well, not quite! Gucci has also released a golden-coloured Doraemon last week disguised as an Ox for the Lunar New Year – you can find him on sweaters, hoodies, logo tees, bags, SLGs, and watches too!

Now, which of these do you prefer, Doraemon as himself, or disguised as an Ox? Hehe.
