DVF’s Holiday 2018 Ad Campaign
DVF‘s Holiday 2018 collection entitled “Phoenix” takes on the true essence and spirit of the regal bird: rebirth, and renewal.
Phoenix came to me as the perfect name for the collection; it’s about rebirth. Irreverence, joie de vivre, and a sense of renewal. All part of the spirit of the house of DVF, and of Diane herself” ~ Creative Director Nathan Jenden ~
Phoenix, Jenden’s second collection for the House, took inspiration from the era of Pop Art, pop culture, and disco in New York, particularly Tina Chow, the legendary Seventies muse and activist. The Holiday ’18 collection bears the mark of the quintessential festive party season with playful pailettes and lurex in candy colours which will be perfect for New Year’s Eve! The iconic wrap dress comes in a new super-lightweight printed mesh, and also a ruffle-sleeved version. Florals, too, feature prominently in the collection, alongside the signature Sutra Chain and tropical palm frond motifs, as well as the Leopard Poppy print. The dragonfly is yet another symbol of transformation and renewal.
Creating clothes that look constructed but are light and easy to wear is the most modern approach right now.
