Louis Vuitton has just announced on their Facebook page that American model Dree Hemingway (great-granddaughter of literary powerhouse Ernest Hemingway) is the face of their latest Fall/Winter 2013 shoe collection which draws inspiration from the bags leather goods and luggage heritage.

This makes for an interesting campaign image because it Dree is seen to emerge from what appears to be a closet stuffed to the brim, with Vuitton luggage and bags spilling over out onto the floor with only one shoe visible! Had I not read the caption “Settle into the Crillon with Dree Hemingway and the New Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter shoe collection”, I would never, not even in a million years, have guessed that this is a campaign shot for shoes instead of bags.
