Burberry Introduces Summer Monogram Collection Starring Kendall Jenner

Burberry unveils their new TB Summer Monogram collection designed by Chief Creative Officer Riccardo Tisci. The now iconic Thomas Burberry monogram is now oversized, in dark beige and azure blue with a criss-cross design overplayed onto the “B”, reminiscent of serpentine skin, thus transforming the monogram into something rather hypnotic , swirly, and meandering, that seems to engulf the wearer, who is, in this case, Kendall Jenner.

The campaign video is set in a dreamscape CGI geometric world inspired by skate parks and swimming pools, where we see Kendall shot at home by Kendall herself, on her computer, in collaboration with SHOWStudio’s Nick Knight, art director Peter Saville, and stylist Katy England.

This is my second monogram collection at Burberry and for me, the collection is all about celebrating the strength of the duality of feminine and masculine energy, blurring the liens and exploring this notion of youthful expression. For the campaign, I thought a lot about that day-dreaming reverie that I associate with summer, that time when you are drifting between reality and fantasy, and I wanted to portray this through the juxtaposition of the imagery. Kendall captured the reality by taking these real self-portraits in the collection, and Nick brought the dream to life, creating this unique digital realm transforming Kendall and allowing her to explore the duality of the TB Summer Monogram collection
