Bag Addicts Anonymous Exclusive: Bottega Veneta’s AOC Spring/Summer 2014 Campaign Video

Bottega Veneta has collaborated with South African photographer Pieter Hugo for their Spring/Summer 2014 Ad Campaign that was shot on location in New Jersey.

Pieter Hugo is renowned for his socio-political juxtapositions and is known for portraits, domestic interiors, landscapes and still-lifes, often exploring the theme of race relations in South Africa. Hugo’s work is held in the permanent collections of MoMA, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, J.Paul Getty’s Museum, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the V&A in London.

“I am a great admirer of Pieter’s portraits, which have an undeniable beauty, yet do not shy from challenging the viewer,” says Bottega Veneta Creative Director Tomas Maier. “Pieter was a natural choice for the campaign as he has the most unusual use and sense of color, and is also a master at framing his subjects in their environments in a most poetic way. So I was interested to see how he would be able to translate his approach to image-making for our collection. I am pleased to say I am very happy with the result.”

Now here’s Bottega Veneta’s Art of Collaboration Video that is yet to be released! Special thanks to the Bottega Veneta team for including Bag Addicts Anonymous in the digital exclusive before its official launch!!
