These little birdies were couriered right to my doorstep. Yup, it’s the invitation to the Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2012 event at Pavilion KL on the 26th of April. Printed on the invite, THE bird for SS12 against a striped background. The theme of the party? “Colour Blockin’ and Party Rockin”

the centre court of Pavilion KL housed a giant inflatable cube with gold balloons that spelt out “Marc by Marc Jacobs” was the show space, where the fashion show was to be held. Reminiscent of a Fashion Week-typed event, the inflatable show space felt as if it was one of the “tents” for the evening.

While awaiting the start of the show, DJ Terence C spun some music, and while everyone feasted on these canapés and 3 specially concocted drinks by Belvedere Vodka – “Belverdere Marc Bloody Mary”, “Belvedere Marc Citrus, and a crowd favourite, “Belvedere Love Marc” containing Belvedere Vodka, Pomegranate and Orange Juice and topped off with Rosemary Leaves.
Oh and, take notice of the trays on which the canapés were on — they featured the seasons prints!! Genius! Now that’s what I call a themed party. 😉
