Last week, Coach invited members of the media for their Spring/Summer 2013 Press Preview at the Coach Flagship in Pavilion KL. With all the eye-popping colours, it felt like Spring has most definitely sprung, and everything was in full bloom.

While there were some new additions to the Madison family, the Legacy collection that features shapes and styles inspired by archival pieces (and a personal favourite too!) practically stole the spotlight and captured everyone’s hearts!

The row of bags you see up there? That’s the Legacy Leather “Romy” Top Handle bag which can either be worn on the shoulder or cross-body style. It’s available in either smooth (RM 1,800+) or perforated leather (RM 2,325) in a variety of pastel shades along with vibrant hues (which has been a trademark of the Legacy collection thus far) and contrast-coloured tassels for a spot of colour-blocking. Good news is that these bags were launched in-stores a week ago!

Smoking slippers have been all the rage lately, and for SS13, Coach offers us just that!

More Legacy goodness featuring a new addition, the Satchel (though I have no idea why it’s called the Satchel because it actually has the silhouette of a Boston bag), will be launched later in the season. I’m looking forward to the bright gorgeous colours either in perforated or smooth leather.

My fave colour combo satchel! I have to say, though, that this photo does the bag absolutely no justice at all because it looks rather dull here but in reality it’s actually a really fluorescent shade of Vermillion (part-red, part-orange).

At the centre of the room, the ready-to-wear looks with lots of Spring coats and the signature turn-lock buttons and clasps !

Another one of my favourites, the mini version of the Candace carryall which reminds me a little of Céline’s Nano Luggaage Tote. The orange accents turn this otherwise boring ytan-coloured tote into something trendy!

New Addition to Madison collection

We also got to preview an upcoming collaboration that will be launched in May. The collab features nothing but stripes, and especially those of the nautical sort simply because that’s what the designer, St. James, is known for. Since stripes are my weakness, the Coach x St. James collection is definitely something I’d be looking forward to.

This carry-on suitcase was inspired by a luggage bag from the Coach archives. And guess what, it’s already sold out in Hong Kong!

Lastly, my favourites from the men’s collection, the collaboration with American graffiti artist Krink that features a tote and some tech cases and SLGs. I’d gladly rock this tote any day, but if it only weren’t so oversized for me. Boohoo.

Not from Krink but possibly my favourite piece ever from the SS13 collection, This oversized tote with a woven handle detail is totally unisex and honestly, I love this even more than the Legacy collection! Slightly too large for women as a day bag, but it’ll make a great beach tote because you can chuck all your beach essentials and even your beach mat and towel in it!
For stylish men who aren’t afraid of colour, this cobalt blue shade is so divine! If you prefer something darker, it’s also available in dark hunter green, which you can see a bit of in the last photo below).
