Italian model Bianca Balti and David Gandy, a Brit male model who needs absolutely no introduction, are the stars in Dolce & Gabbana‘s latest advertising campaign for their award-winning “Light Blue” fragrances for both men and women.

Photographed by renowned fashion photographer Mario Testino, the campaign was shot on location in Capri, and what an apt backdrop it was indeed – it wasn’t only a favourite holiday destination for fashionable peeps like Elizabeth Taylor and Jacqueline Kennedy, but as one of Italy’s most beautiful and romantic islands, it also bore witness to many love affairs.

The Light Blue fragrances have been in the fragrance market for more than over a decade, with its first ad campaign debuting as early as 2007, of which David Gandy was a part.  Since its introduction, Light Blue has won 14 fragrance awards and was recently featured in an exhibition at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York as one of the century’s most groundbreaking scents. In fact, it’s an icon in its own right.

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana started building on the Light Blue story last year, with the introduction of Limited Edition scents “Living Stromboli” and “Dreaming in Portofino”. This time around,  for the new chapter featuring the Light Blue fragrance, the designers “wanted to capture the electricity and the excitement of a love affair with a strong Mediterranean woman”. Filmed against the picture perfect landscape of Capri, the sizzling chemistry between both David and Bianca is certainly undeniable!
