Event Post: My Day With Dior

Yesterday, you read all about Dior’s newly opened KLCC store. Today, I’ll be sharing with you my Day With Dior, along with my favourites from the current Cruise 2016 collection that’s currently in stores!

Last Thursday, Dior extended an invitation to me for the private press preview of the store, before the opening party that very same night. It was quite an intimate affair, and with just the Editors-in-Chief present, and the Dior Malaysia and Regional PR Director present, we got to really mingle and catch up with each other!

I won’t get into the details of the store and everything, because you’ve already read about it on the blog yesterday, so I’m just going to share my favourites with you. Be prepared for a visual feast! 😉

How gorgeous and intricate is the beading, embroidery, and sequin work on these two pieces?

Loving these Diorama Club bags, which you’ve probably already seen on my Instagram sometime back 😉

I’m really loving these embellished python Lady Dior and Diorama bags because it feels even more luxurious with these attention to details! Who can resist sparkly snakeskin? *insert heart eyes emoji here*

Bows = love! It’s too bad I don’t wear heels this high, or rather,  that I hardly wear heels at all, because I would’ve snapped up the pumps with the tuxedo bow at the back in a heartbeat!

After the store preview, we all headed to a luncheon hosted by Dior. We were chauffeured in twos in black Mercedes cars, to the lunch venue, Enfin by James Won. I was stoked that I got to hop into the same car as Dior’s Regional PR Director who flew in from Hong Kong for the opening. We chatted for the whole commute, and upon arrival, were greeted by Team Dior, and ushered into the restaurant.

I don’t usually take food pics, so here are the only ones I have of the lunch, snapped for my InstaStory.

Appetizer: Charred Courgette, Aubergine and Baby Pear with Cheese
Sorry for the typo: I meant to say Beef Striploin instead of Rib Striploin. Oops. haha
So this is Angus striploin with pomme frites (translation: French Fries)
The Dessert was Uh-May-Zing! Carrot layer cake, cream cheese, and Berry compote

I then headed home and was supposed to head to the Opening Party at night, but it was raining so heavily and it was so jammed (plus I was slightly under the weather) so I didn’t manage to make it for the celebration.

I’d like to extend a special thank you to the Dior Malaysia and Regional PR Teams for having me at the event!
