YSL’s Spring/Summer 2011 bags

First up, a shopper that can also be used as a document bag. Love the fun print and colours!!

YSL’s Multy bag that was introduced in Fall/Winter 2010, was first seen in crackled patent leather in its debut season. For Spring/Summer 2011, the Multy will be available in Denim (shown below), Emerald Green canvas and of course, my favourite colour, fuchsia!
I wasn’t such a fan of the Multy when it was first introduced last season because I felt that the design looked rather mature. Those thoughts immediately went out the window when I saw these colourful babies with black patent leather trimmings! LOVE!

Well, Stefano Pilati had done studded details in past seasons – remember the studded Easy bag with the square studs with a pointy middle that totally sparked off replicas and counterfeits after seeing how popular they were? Well this season, flat studs make an appearance, put together in a more tribal-esque manner, reminding me of the designs on the teepees (or wig-wams) of the Native Americans.

Studded Roady – I can definitely see this both on Taylor Momsen herself, AND her Gossip Girl character, Jenny Humphrey; both of whom seem to have that grungy, emo/punk style.

For the evening, I absolutely ADORE this cork and patent leather clutch, and would like to get my hands on it!! It’s simple and chic and definitely stands out — after all, we hardly see bags and/or clutches made of cork now, do we? If it looks familiar to you, that’s probably because I’ve raved about it before in my New Year’s Eve Party Special. Yes, I love it so much that I just HAD to blog about it TWICE. ;D

This next clutch, I’m not so crazy about, perhaps because it’s a little more mature. In a classic framed-top style and what appears to be a stingray strip down the middle (not sure if it’s actually stingray or if it’s embossed). The ruched detail, however, reminds me of Dior’s Karenina line of bags from a few seasons ago, don’t you think??
