Along with the Joylock, Valentino has also debuted yet another collection for Fall/Winter 2017, called the Demilune. This collection, made up of the double top handle bag (available in various sizes), a clutch, a flap bag, all come with their very own distinctive feature: the short and supple “U-shaped” chain detail at the clasp.

Though the double top handle version is the one that seems to be the most featured and marketed out of the entire Demilune collection, my favourite is this Shoulder bag version with the flap, because I love whipstitched details in general, but what’s more unique is that Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli utilised chains instead of leather or other types of fabric, to create the whipstitch effect, and ya’ll know how I like my chunky hardware. Okay, so it isn’t exactly chunky per se, but it just gives the otherwise feminine silhouette more edge, so what’s not to love? *insert heart eyes emoji*
