Prada’s BYO Bag
Prada first introduced the BYOB 2010. This summer, they’re back again, with pretty floral patterns to boot! Oh, and by the way, BYOB stands for Bring Your Own Bag (not booze!). These super lightweight and tear-reistant nylon babies (weighing in at just 150 grams!) are perfect to keep in your handbag or even when you’re travelling. I mean, I don’t know about you, but I usually keep a nylon eco/recycle bag in my handbag at all times just in case the supermarket or store tells us that they don’t support the use of plastic bags. Also, if you’re in Malaysia, Saturdays are declared as “no plastic bag” days, so this would come in especially handy. Plus, you get to fold it up and store it in the pretty nylon zippered pouch that it comes with (in the exact same pattern as the bag itself), and if you’re travelling, that would make a great makeup pouch or spare pouch too! Or you could even get creative and use it as casual day clutch for your essentials when you’re on an errand run.
I haven’t seen this bag in Prada stores locally as yet, or on the Prada website, but it retails at US$590 each. So what do you say? Yay? Or too expensive to be used as a recycle bag?
