#PFW: Loewe’s Spring/Summer 18 Bags Report

The Verdict: Saddle bags, draped scarf detail handles, slouchy bags, and knots – these were the stuff Jonathan Anderson’s Spring/Summer 2018 bags for Loewe, were made of. The bag of the season is none other than the saddle bag with the knotted detail. And speaking of knots, the flat slouchy rectangular shoulder bag, too, had double knotted zipper pulls, and the classic Puzzle bags also sported a bi-colour perforated leather piece twisted around the handles (which kinda reminded me of a combination of duct tape and band-aids) that were knotted at the ends. The bags, with the striped scarf-like details on them, somehow, reminded me of a cross between the Harry Potter scarves that the audience wore during Quidditch matches, and something a little more Bohemian. But if we were looking for a theme that possibly tied the entire bags collection together, I have to say, I’m kinda stumped, because, apart from Loewe’s signature tan and Oro House colours, they’re all so individually different. That said, my favourite bag of all-time  from the collection, though, was of course, none other than the baby blue gingham elephant bag.
