I’ve always been a huge Givenchy fan but I literally shrieked with horror when I saw this Painted Python version of the Nightingale. Yes, I get that it’s hand-painted, but the colours aren’t really appealing at all. The white and grey snakeskin looks fine so I don’t know why they had to go over it with random splotches of colour that make the snake look, er, well, as if it as an infectious disease and even more lethal than it already is.

If you’re a fan, it costs USD $4,525 a pop, and is available via Barneys. But one thing’s for sure, I’m not going to be having pleasant dreams tonight, because it definitely seems as if the innocent little Nightingale birdie got engulfed by an infected python.
