Bottega Veneta’s New Affordable-Luxe Additions for Fall/Winter 2012-13

While not everyone is blessed with wads of dough at our disposal, owning a Bottega Veneta bag is usually a dream due to its über-luxe appeal (with a hefty price tag to boot!), only attainable when we invest time and effort to save a portion of our monthly salary, and patiently wait for our bank accounts to fill up before we can reap the fruits of our labour (pun intended).
And here’s where most of you would be rejoicing because for Fall/Winter 2012-13, Bottega Veneta introduces 2 new bag lines (SLGs included) that are much more wallet-friendly: “Intrecciolusion”and “Intrecciomirage”

Bottega Veneta Nylon "Inttreciolusion" Tote

The bags and small leather goods (SLGs) from the “Intrecciolusion” line utilises nylon, which means that it’s not just lightweight, but also durable and tear-resistant. A circular leather charm with a metal butterfly detail, and like all Bottega bags, the nylon bag, too, sports the signature Bottega weave, but instead printed onto the bag in such a 3-dimensional manner that it creates the illusion that it is in fact woven, when it actually isn’t. Bags and SLGs from this line range from RM 1,800 to RM 2,490.

While the “Intrecciolusion” bags above have a printed weave, the weave is embossed onto the”Intrecciomirage” line of calf leather bags and SLGs. If you’re worried that it’s going to be weighty, rest assured, because the unlined leather makes this range of bags and SLGs super lightweight. “Intrecciomirage” bags, too come with a leather disc charm with a butterfly, but just like the weave, the butterfly, too, is embossed. If you’re not a fan of the dark chocolate brown above, for Fall/Winter 2012-13 the bags come in an assortment of interesting colours, including purple, and is priced from RM 3,980 to 4,430.

Not only are both the “Intrecciolusion” and “Intrecciomirage” light (in weight), but also on your purse-strings! How awesome is that?

Note: I’ve had a look at them both, and I have to say I personally prefer the “Intrecciolusion”, not because it’s more affordable, but I prefer the printed weave which looks much more 3-Dimensional than the embossed “Intrecciomirage”
