My Thoughts On Chloe’s Nile Bag
You’ve probably seen the Chloé Nile bag on the arms of many a fashion editor and fashion blogger. In fact, this style is quickly becoming a Cult bag. It’s already sold out on the official website, and is super low in stock in the Chloe boutique and on the e-commerce sites. I don’t know if you’re a fan, or it’s a bag that’s grown on you, but I personally don’t know what the big deal is about the Nile. it’s a bag you either like, or you don’t.
I mean, it’s just another variation of the structured saddle-shaped bag which we’ve seen a lot of at Chloé (Remember the Marcie?). Well I guess, because of that you could possibly argue for the fact that it has become a Chloé signature. I actually prefer the Marcie more to than the Nile, to be honest, because with the structure of the bag, it’s already heavy enough (as most Chloé bags are), but paired with the gold bracelet hardware, and the studded hardware on the base of the Nile minaudière, it’s just way too heavy before you even put anything in the bag, plus, the bracelet handle doesn’t sit comfortably on the arm at all.
I guess it’s a bag you either like, or you don’t. If you like it, and are looking for it, there are very limited quantities left at Nordstrom and Bergdorf Goodman, so hurry!
Is the Nile a Yay, or Nay, for you?
