This Spring/Summer 2020 season, and true to its new “Innovation in the Making” theme for 2020, Hermès introduces a new version of their Holy Grail Birkin, known as the Cargo Birkin. Inspired by military uniforms, it comes in comes in Goéland canvas with Swift calfskin trims, and only in size 35 (i.e. 35cm). This utilitarian edition edition has 5 additional pockets, including a flap top satchel-like pocket on the front, an open slip pocket, a side pocket, and even a removable cup holder for your coffee, herbal tea, H20, or even kombucha – basically, whatever your heart desires. Personally though, I wouldn’t be putting any drink right there because, I mean, imagine if someone bumped into you and your drink splashes and stains your precious Birkin?

That said, this utilitarian style is certainly more unisex than the other 35cm Birkins. Oh, and did I mention that this is is not just functional, but more also more lightweight in comparison to their iconic Birkins?
