Named after the ancient French city of Arles where Gucci staged their Cruise 2019 runway show the Arli one of the key handbag styles for the season. The Arli features the same GG motif that we see in the Marmont line, except this time, in shiny gold hardware, instead of aged brass.

A total of 3 shapes make up this new key style for Cruise 19. First up, a top handle bag (pictured above) with two zippered compartments on its front panel and two open pockets on its rear, it definitely would be a great office-friendly bag. It also comes with long handles so the bag would be able to sit comfortably on the shoulder, leaving your hands free. There’s also a shoulder bag version of the Arli, which comes in a small, or medium size, with two gusseted compartments, an adjustable shoulder strap should you wish to wear it crossbody. The small one, especially in exotic python leather that comes embellished with gold studs also makes for a great evening.  Okay, so you’re probably thinking, what? crossbody bag for evening and it’s not even a minaudière? But these days, it doesn’t have to just be about traditional evening bag styles for glitzy night time events anymore. Edgier bags (and hey, even sneakers!) are easily styled with ball gowns for glitzy affairs, so yep, this is definitely evening-appropriate in my books.
