Fendi’s Python Silvana from Pre-Spring/Summer 2012

On a recent trip to Singapore, the peeps at Fendi invited me to their press office, and since I was there, I got to preview the Pre-Spring/Summer 2012 collection.

I found 2 favourites there. One of them is this Python Silvana and the other will be revealed in an upcoming post so stay tuned for my other favourite.

Usually, I find the regular solid coloured leather and colour-blocked Silvanas as too “Lady Chic” for me, but this Python version totally blew my mind away, and yes, I totally mean this in a good way! The colour combo is so bright and so vibrant, I spotted this on the shelf even before I entered the showroom, a.k.a. the Fendi closet at the office. I swear, you really have to see this piece in the flesh because the picture really doesn’t do it justice. The python is dyed with such an unusual colour combo (which is something one doesn’t regularly see on python bags) and it stands out perfectly against the white and tan! Definitely a conversation piece. Love love love! But then again, that said, I think it’s a bag which you will either love or hate, with nothing else in-between, and I happen to be totally head over heels for this one! I shall never look at another Silvana in the same iffy “too lady chic for me” way anymore!

Retail price: SGD 3,460.. However, I am not sure if this Silvana will actually make it to our shores in KL. ..
