Fendi's New Silvana Bag from SS 2011 -- the new It Bag for 2011!

Fendi’s New Silvana Bag from SS 2011 — the new It Bag for 2011!

Dubbed by French Vogue as one of the It Bags of 2011, Fendi’s Silvana bag was inspired by Silvana Mangano (see photo below), one of Italy’s starlets on the silver screen during the post-Second World War era.

Structured vintage-esque bags, which is a spillover trend from 2010 which shows no signs of waning just yet, the Silvana fits the bill perfectly. Silvana comes in a combination of leathers (and you’ll find that some are even mixed with a touch of croc). Colour-blocking, as we saw on Fendi’s Spring/Summer 2011 runway, was one of the themes of the season, and to a large extent, this theme is also reflected in the Silvana, which gives the vintage-inspired bag a more youthful vibe. And if you haven’t already guessed, I am a HUGE fan of colour blocks.

If you’re not a fan of colour blocks, Silvana is also available in solid colours.

The Silvana will be available once Fendi launches their Spring/Summer 2011 collection in its KL stores. As for the prices, they are currently unavailable. Prices will be updated once they have been released, so stay tuned!
