
FENDI Launches Exclusive Capsule For Chinese New Year
Fendi has launched a dedicated Capsule Collection for Chinese New Year in auspicious red – also known as the colour of prosperity, in Chinese culture. Pink flowers also make an appearance, as well as the Chrysanthemum to symbolise longevity, and the Peony, to represent prosperity, beauty, and honour. Of course, the flower that’s most synonymous with the festivity, is the pink plum blossoms (often confused with the Sakura, or Cherry Blossom), with 5 petals each, to signify happiness, good fortune, longevity, success, and harmony. All these Chinese symbols and flora are combined with the iconic FF logo.
The women’s collection comprise ready-to-wear, silk accessories (including a scarf, hair accessories, fashion jewellery pieces, as well as a cover mask and its pouch), and of course, handbags such as a colour-blocked red leather Peekaboo with a a vibrant pink interior or an embroidered FF logo interior, the ISeeU, and a pink canvas with pink and red embroidered FF logo on the Baguette (available in Nano, Mini, and Regular), an adjustable Strap You bag strap, and a Peek-a-Phone smartphone pouch. The showstopper in this collection, of course, would have to be the red micro beaded embroidery with pink and gold fringes and enamelled floral details on the Pico Baguette.
For the Men, there’s the FF logo in a graphic red and black combo on ready-to-wear, leather goods, accessories, a red canvas backpack, clutch, card case, mid-top city sneakers, and the Flat Baguette.
