Tod’s Fall/Winter 2011 Press Preview
The Tod’s Fall/Winter 2011 press preview was held at the Gardens on Thursday, 14 July at their new Gardens store. This time around, the Tod’s principal from Hong Kong came to take us through the new collection.
For Fall/Winter 2011 creative director Derek Lam sought inspiration from the architecture of Louis Kahn, who is known for his clean lines.
For the women’s bags collection, Tod’s debuts its new D Bag Luxury collection, which is essentially the house’s classic D Bag, but in croc, with the interior fully lined in leather.
The new two-toned wristlets cum clutches in a combination of 2 exotic skins: croc and python, or croc and lizard. Also available in ponyhair (as shown below).
This is buckle style is carried over from Spring/Summer 2011 this year. For F/W 2011-12, this will be available in the oversized wallet style of clutches. Made of pony skin, these will be available in royal blue, sand and noir (as shown).
And the highlight of this season are both of these bags made of fox fur. Prices have not been announced yet, but I am told that it would approximately be within the range of RM11,000 to RM 15,o00.
And we all went home with this:
I have a Tod’s surprise soon to be revealed so stay tuned. Due to the image embargoes on that new collection which will debut in September, I have a teaser shot for you of the new collection, which you wouldn’t have yet seen anywhere else yet (with permission from the Hong Kong principal) so stay tuned!! ;D
