Pierpaolo Piccioli pays tribute to Valentino Garavani‘s House Codes by embracing four of the Maison’s quintessential Couture elements – 01 studs, 02 bows, 03 Rose, 04 Rouches – all of which, are as important and so deeply ingrained in its DNA, as the iconic Valentino Red. The Rose, a symbol of romanticism, is brought to life on the 03 Rose Edition Atelier Bag, is Piccioli’s way of imbuing the Fall 2020 Ready-to-Wear collection, with Couture sensibilities.

The Couture treatment is event from the meticulous craftsmanship that goes into the creation of this bag that’s crafted from goat skin completely made from hand-moulded petals that come in 5 different sizes which are then individually assembled by hand onto these shiny nappa leather bags. What a painstaking task it is indeed, requiring approximately 10.5 hours to construct and assemble a total of 90 leather petals, in order to achieve a single three-dimensional rose that you see on the bags. The 03 Rose Edition Atelier Bag will be dropping in September, in a shoulder bag cum crossbody silhouette available in either a mini or small size, as well as a tote style in several sizes in colours such as nero (black), cerise (cherry). ivory, rosso (red) and rose canelle (cinnamon pink).
