Fashion führer Karl Lagerfeld stuns the world with Chanel’s S/S 2010

The Verdict: Fashion fuhrer Karl Lagerfeld seems to have taken a whole new approach for Chanel’s S/S 2010 collection. Not usually what we would expect, this time around we see bags in Knitted wool, Straw, Rattan, (to which Chanel’s beige colour palette seems to blend with) and… embellished with HUGE 3-D flowers. Perhaps Lagerfeld is jumping on the flower (band)wagon along with the likes of Luella who seems to be doing floral embellishments this S/S season. Admittedly, imho, the floral embellishments for Chanel’s S/S 2010 seems look more Lulu Guinness rather than what we’re used to seeing at the uber-classy House of Chanel. Again, we see some sling bags in the collection, whether for evening or for day.

I’m indifferent to this collection, but I think the oversized florals on what resembles a wicker basket for a bag seems somewhat garish in the light of day.
