#PFW: Loewe Fall/Winter 15 Bags Report
Under the Creative Direction of Jonathan Anderson, Loewe has done a complete 180. That lady-like allure is but a ghost of Loewe’s past. Anderson turns up the funk with geometric shapes, lamé pleated skirts and asymmetrical collars. In short, the Fall/Winter 15 collection oozes a modernist vibe that replaces the postmodernist deconstructed SS15 aesthetic.
When it comes to the leather goods, SS15’s It Bag, the “Puzzle” still dominates the Fall/Winter 15 runway, but this time around, in slightly more structured exotic leathers like croc and python. Yet, my favourite is still the pink suede colour-blocked Puzzle bag [well, duh, no surprises there, it’s pink innit? 😉 ]. The flamenco was also reinvented in a mini size, almost like a drawstring coin pouch, with a colour-blocked top, that resembles flower petals ala Takashi Murakami. Day bags were given a sturdier shape, with the introduction of several flap bags with contrasting leather straps, colours and/or leathers. As for which are my favourites? Well if you’re a regular reader of this blog, you’d know that my picks are represented by the larger images on this page :D.
