#PFW: Lanvin Spring/Summer 2013 Bags

Lanvin’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection consisted of more evening clutches than day bags. Since most of the bags that came down the runway had that wooden turnlock detail, I’m guessing that that’s most probably the Lanvin’s It bag for the SS13 season.

The Verdict: You’ve probably already guessed my favourite Lanvin SS13 bag. Yes, as usual, it’s the image which I have sized as the largest in comparison to the rest, and in this case, it’s the white structured box-like shoulder bag, even though it will probably dirty way too easily, and God knows, I’ve bought white bags before because they look so luxe and classy with gold hardware, only to never see the light of day, apart from once or twice because I’m just to afraid of ruining it no matter how careful I am or may be. The element that MADE that bag even more fab is the wooden turnlock accent, because without it, it may be way too boring. The downside to the bag, though, is the snake chain. Though it might be more comfortable on the shoulder compared to chain link straps, for those of us with long hair, it’s probably going to get caught in it. Major *ouch* moment as I’m sure those of you who have worn snake chain necklaces have felt the agony.
That aside, I am, once again, placing fashion over function because even though the exotic skin cubed box wristlets for evening can only probably hold your lipstick, mints and, well, not a lot really, most probably not even your mobile phone (since smartphones seem to be getting bigger these days) I still really REALLY think that it’s super-cute! Lastly, the minaudiere-cum-wristlet (last photo), which also accompanied the last few evening looks on the Lanvin SS13 runway, really reminds me of a perfume bottle, don’t you think?
