Loewe x Ken Price Capsule Collection

Loewe Creative Director Jonathan Anderson has always supported the world of artists and native craftspeople.  This time around, it’s the work of artist Ken Price, an American contemporary artist, known for his clay sculptures and works. For this collaboration with the artist, Anderson picked a series of 20 handprinted ceramic plates made for La Palme restaurant in Newport Beach from the 1980s for this Capsule, particularly motifs from La Palme, Easter Island, and LA series, which are used as prints, allover prints, intarsia and leather marquetry.

Comprising a selection of ready-to-wear, accessories (including scarves and hats), as well as  the Capsule has that distinctive easy-breezy laidback LA vibe. The bags and SLGs, however, are our favourites from the Capsule, as they’re more like works of arts in themselves, replicated in leather marquetry in an almost cartoon-like illustrated manner on the Puzzle, Gate, Hammock, Bamboo Bucket, and Balloon. Oh, and remember the Artisanal Baskets? There’s now the Fringes series of finely woven leather baskets, which focuses on, yep, you guessed it, fringing.
