Introducing: Burberry’s TB Bag
Today, we bring you Riccardo Tisci’s first ever handbag created for Burberry: the TB Bag. We saw this bag all over the Spring/Summer 2019 runway, accompanying most of the looks he created for his debut collection. When Tisci joined Burberry in August 2018, he gave the House an all new monogram print, the TB monogram which he designed in collaboration with British art director and graphic designer Peter Saville, as a tribute to founder Thomas Burberry.
Following suit, the TB hardware logo appears front and centre of the TB Bag collection of structured, boxy bags. Available in several styles such has a shoulder bag that comes in both a small and medium size, a belt bag (or bum bag, as the Brits call it), and an envelope clutch, in black, dark brown and crimson, or more pastel shades like pink, honey, and pistachio, including bicolour options in graphic black and white (with a Burberry London England logo), black with a deer print, and oxblood with an intarsia monogram motif. The clasps, too, come in several colours including light gold, silver, turquoise, and faux tortoiseshell. Oh, and since logomania is trending right now, monogram embossed styles including several variations in canvas, will be dropping in stores this May.
The TB Bags are priced between MYR 10,500 to 12,500.
If you’re wondering whether this is going to be a seasonal offering, I’m guessing that it could very well become part of a new classic collection, given the meaning behind the TB logo clasp. What say you?
