Hermès Cherche-Midi
By now, we’re all already familiar with the Hermès icons: the Birkin, Kelly, Jypsiere, and Constance. Now, let me introduce you to the Cherche-Midi, named after a street on the Left Bank in Paris.. While not the latest addition because this was introduced a year ago during the Spring/Summer 2015 season, this bag is still severely underrated and I thought it should be given some air time too! As you can see from the video, it’s pretty small, but what’s great is, because of the adjustable shoulder strap, it doesn’t have to rest right below your armpits *cough cough* (also known as the bane that comes with most shoulder bags, which is why I rarely carry small shoulder bags, sloping shoulders aside)!
Its distinctive features are the rectangular-but-yet-not-quite shape, and of course, the iconic Hermès Chaine dancer link, which serves as the bag’s clasp. A little hard to open at first, especially if you’re not used to doing so, but after a few tries, you get used to it. It comes in 2 sizes, the PM and the GM, and is on the slightly pricier end.
