Bottega Veneta introduces a new drawstring shoulder bag known as The Bulb as part of its Wardrobe 01 (Pre-Spring 2021) collection. Though when placed flat onto a surface it resembles The Pouch slightly, its silhouette changes completely into that of a bulb (think onion or garlic bulb rather than lightbulb), just like its moniker, when held by the straps, regardless whether in your palm, or when worn on the shoulder. Made of supple and buttery soft Nappa leather, this slouchy bag with a rounded and bulbous silhouette  (haha, see what I did there?) features a drawstring closure with knotted leather ends, and tassels and small metal spheres at the ends.

Available in colours such as grape, tapioca, black, buttercup or chili and in 3 sizes (mini, small, and medium), the Mini Bulb comes with thin knotted leather straps for crossbody wear (similar to that of the mini Pouch), in comparison to the wider, flat double straps that are knotted in the middle for both the small and medium sizes. If you’re not a fan of the smooth Nappa version, it’s also available in Bottega’s signature intrecciato leather for a more textured look.
