Bottega Veneta’s Gorgeous Bags From the Runway
Earlier in the week, I was shopping for Christmas presents at Pavilion. I was also looking for a wallet for myself, and although I usually swear by Prada’s Saffiano Leather wallets because, well, they’re super durable and scratch-resistant, they didn’t have the one that I wanted, so off I went, into Bottega Veneta. And then my SA Rachelle showed me these beautiful bags. She knows me well, and yes, for those of you who know me personally, or are following me on Instagram, you’d probably already have noticed that they’re very very ME: Pop colours, check. Colour blocking, check. And since they’re satin, there’s also that diamond-shaped quilting reminiscent of the iconic weave, makes it unmistakably a Bottega. But, the best thing of all is that the jewel tones on the satin are so intense that they look almost as if they’re metallic colours and the Ayers trims give them that extra uber-luxurious feel.
I initially wanted to get the pink (duh! lol), but when I tried them on, the limey yellow colour pops even more against the black, and made it much nicer than the pink. It’s the epitome of the perfect day-to-night bag because with the shoulder strap, you can dress up your jeans and casual dresses, and when it comes to night, just dunk the strap into the bag, and you have a beautiful evening clutch that’s not just cocktail- but also red-carpet appropriate. If you’re wondering whether I came home with the bag, I’ll have you know that I’m still thinking about it, because it’s a tad small for me, and I would also have preferred it if it came with a longer strap so that I can wear it cross-body. I’ll sleep over this and update you!
Oh and did I mention that this is a runway piece from Bottega’s Early Fall 2016 collection, AND it’s currently on 30% off right now? At approximately RM 9,000, it’s pretty decent for a runway piece, no?
