Club 21 Press Day + 3.1 Phillip Lim’s Pashli Satchel
A week and a half ago (Thursday, 26th July), Club 21 had their Fall/Winter 2012-13 Press Day. Unfortunately, I didn’t make it for the press event. Instead, that day was spent in bed, nursing a nasty cough. What an inopportune time to fall sick, because my friends from the media had told me that the Visual Merchandising team had outdone themselves; the room was beautifully set up. I’m so bummed that I missed seeing the Alexander Wang Rocco (see my post on Tongue In Chic) and Proenza Schouler (hel-lo, PS11!) bags on display, but there was nothing I could do except to live vicariously through their Instagram photos and tweets of the event space.
No, your eyes aren’t deceiving you. I did say Alexander Wang and Proenza Schouler! In fact, the Club21 Press Day was actually a media preview of the brands and the merch that we will be seeing at the new Club 21 Multilabel Store which will be open in September at Pavilion. The new boutique will house brands such as 3.1 Phillip Lim, Acne, Alexander McQueen, Comme des Garçons, Nicholas Kirkwood, Pierre Hardy, Stella McCartney, and T by Alexander Wang (amongst other brands!)
I’m so stoked that they’ll be bringing in the 3.1 Phillip Lim bags, because I’ve had my eye on the Pashli Satchel for quite awhile now!

3.1 Phillip Lim Large Pashli Satchel. Also available in black and other colours, and in the mini size which comes with a long strap too ala Celine Nano Luggage Tote |
Yes, isn’t she gorgeous? A little muscly, but oh so feminine in that shade of fuchsia isn’t she?
Well, I initially wanted either the navy blue or the kelly green version from this year’s Spring/Summer collection. But alas, I was too late, because by the time I had made up my mind to get it, it was already sold out on Shopbop (they ship to Malaysia for FREE!!), and they didn’t restock it in those colours. What they had left back then, was black (the classic colour) and white. I’m hoping and praying that either Shopbop or Club21 will bring in this eye-popping fuchsia. You like?
