Calvin Klein 205W39NYC x Looney Tunes Collection
Calvin Klein 205W39NYC, formerly known as Calvin Klein Collection, is the brand’s new luxury Ready-to-Wear line rebranded after Raf Simons (former Creative Director of Dior), took over the creative helm. This Fall/Winter 18, the brand hits us with a wave of nostalgia with the Looney Tunes Collection … well, especially for me. I still remember my childhood days, watching the the Looney Tunes cartoons starring Mad Max, Elmer Fudd, Bugs Bunny, Tasmanian Devil, Speedy Gonzalez, Sylvester, Tweety, and granny who’s constantly throwing cash into the fireplace to keep the flames going.
Oh of course, we mustn’t forget the stars of this collaboration, Wile E. Coyote and my favourite birdie of them all the invincible Road Runner, who constantly taunts his mischievous predator with “Beep Beeps”, which may be ostrich-speak for “you can’t catch me”. The Capsule comprises fall-ready sweaters as well as pouches and a tote, with these 2 characters front and centre. I don’t know about you, but the items from this collab just puts an instant smile on my face because it certainly takes me back to Sunday mornings in front of the TV. Heck, I can still remember the tune of the opening theme song! Ahh, memories, eh?
