I caught Valentino’s Spring/Summer 2013 show on livestream. While waiting for the show to begin, we saw Mr Valentino himself front and centre, and next to him, and had J-Lo as next to him. It was really quite difficult to catch the other celebrities at the FROW because the Valentino show venue was in darkness even before the show began.

The show kicked off a little after schedule, and I have to say that while I’m not really a fan of the clothes, I absolutely am head over heels with the BAGS!

The Verdict: I really like the youthful direction that Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli are heading towards. The design duo really can do no wrong when it comes to the leather goods because with each season, I’m loving the bags (and therefore the brand!) more and more!

For SS13, Valentino also seems to be taking the transparent route (especially for the Rockstud bags!), like Marc by Marc Jacobs, Burberry and Fendi. Okay, so I might have some issues with transparent bags or well, transparent anything to be honest, because I really don’t like the world to be able to see the entire contents of my handbag, but that’s just me. Apart from my personal issues, I really don’t have any other issues in terms of aesthetics or design because I love all Valentino bags equally, especially those from this SS13 collection, and if you ask me to choose my favourite, then I have to say that they are all my faves.
