#PFW: Céline SS16 Runway and Bags Report

Céline’s Spring/Summer 16 show took place in a tent-like setting in hues of cobalt blue and orange that was conceptualised by Danish installation artist, FOS. Taking a look at the setting itself, I was expecting a festival-like collection, but nope, there was none of that. Instead, it was a mix of utilitarian and boudoir, thanks to the ankle boots, parkas, and slip dresses that appeared to be a variation of the silk teddy. In short, it was a juxtaposition between work and play, and chaste vs. sexy.

The SS16 bags, on the other hand, were either squishy, cushy, and bulbous, resembling cocoon-like puffer jackets, or stiff and structured. The only familiar bag on the runway was the Box bag, used as a clutch. In short, the bags were rather disappointing.
