Well well well, it looks as if the Louis Vuitton x Jeff Koons Masters Collection, featuring the artworks of renowned artists, is here to stay. I know this was one of those collections that you either loved or hated, and judging from the expansion of this line to include works from more artists this time around, it seems if it’s pretty popular.

From the first edition of the Masters collection,  you’d possibly have gathered that I wasn’t a fan because I found it rather kitschy and Jeff Koons can definitely do better, because he has done so! I mean, just take a look at his sculptures and you’d realise his capabilities as an artist. For Masters II, the Maison and Koons have added works by Claude Monet (Waterlilies, 1916), J.M.W. Turner (Ancient Rome, 1839), Édouard Manet (Luncheon on the Grass, 1863), Paul Gauguin (Delightful Land, 1892), and François Boucher (Reclining Girl, 1752).  This time around, though, if I had to choose, I’d have to say that this batch of artists and their artworks are way better than the first one, and I actually wouldn’t mind the Monet version of the Speedy 25, but perhaps my reason for saying so is due to the fact that I’ve always been a fan of the Impressionist era, and Monet’s Waterlilies have always been one of my favourite works, heh.
