The Verdict: I really don’t know how I feel about this collection. It’s a collection that utilises more exotic skins than ever compared to other Marc Jacobs’s collections from seasons past, including my favourite watersnake skin. That said, however, from the colour blocked (and solid coloured) mini bags and the bags with the fringe details that look like they will be more at home in the Marc by Marc Jacobs line, to the lady-chic bowlers that look like they could pass of as Prada, this collection lacks coherence and seems as if they are very uncharacteristic of Marc Jacobs. Perhaps the upcoming Spring/Summer 2012 collection is experiencing multiple personality disorder? Well, either that, or Marc has been too caught up in talks with Dior that he has neglected his main line. Whatever the reason, I am not liking this collection at all, and much prefer the Marc by Marc Jacobs collection.
