Last year, it was Tiffany & Co., and this year, it’s Loewe‘s turn to partner with Knot On My Planet in support of the Elephant Crisis Fund – an initiative to provide rapid support for projects designed to stop the killing of elephants, to thwart the harvesting of ivory, and to end trafficking. This collab is a no-brainer really, and one that is so perfect because Loewe has already become known for their cutesy Mini Elephant bags that have become House Classics.

For this philanthropic initiative, Loewe has launched a Limited Edition Elephant Mini Bag featuring beadwork by Kenyan women artisans of the Samburu Trust. This version of the Elephant Mini bag comes with adornments such as panels of multicoloured beading with beaded tassels that have been attached onto the bag, by using safety pins. Though for an entirely different purpose, this one kinda reminds me of the Punk version of the mini elephant bag, that came with its own “piercings”.

Oh, and while luxury brands usually donate a portion of their sales to the charity organisations that they partner with, Loewe will be donating all proceeds of the sales of this bag to the Elephant Crisis Fund.  Now here’s the campaign images starring Knot On My Planet ambassador and spokesperson, supermodel Doutzen Kroes shot on location in Kenya.
