This double phoenix clutch from Valentino’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection perfectly melds the Old World with the new. A mix of antiquated and modern all in one. This brushed gold minaudière, which, to me, seems more like a gold nugget, could be a real collector’s item which would probably look as relevant now as it would a decade later. I love how this really looks like a piece of statement jewellery, yet it can also fit right in at home as a decorative ornament. In short, I’d say, this, to me, seems like the stuff legends are made of (and hey, the phoenixes make it all the more authentic and believable, now, don’t they? 😉 )
