Bottega Veneta’s Maxi Jodie
We’ve seen Bottega Veneta‘s Jodie introduced as part of the Fall/Winter 19 collection. When I first saw it on the runway, with it’s handle attached, forming a continuous circular shape, the first thing that came to mind was that Creative Director Daniel Lee must have revisited the archives because the shape and style is reminiscent of one of the House’s discontinued intrecciato shoulder bag models (style code: 232499). Lee’s reinterpretation, however, came with an additional knotted detail.
Available in 3 sizes when it debuted – mini, small, medium, and large – the super cutesy mini was by far most popular size. Now, for Spring/Summer 2020, the House has introduced the Maxi Jodie, and like its name, it certainly is oversized. Meant to be worn across the body messenger-style, this new addition to the family is perfect for travel, and on-the-go days when you have to tote absolutely everything in your bag, including the kitchen sink. 😉
