It was Absolut Vodka that first introduced Britto to the world, when the company selected Britto to design an art piece with the Absolut logo. Today, Britto is known as a pop culture phenomenon, and has works represented in premier art galleries worldwide. He is dubbed by the New York Times as “Matisse channelling Picasso”.
I first learnt about Brazilian Pop Artist Romero Britto when I saw his sculptures at Singapore’s Ion @ Orchard mall, and at “Ode To Art”, and was hooked ever since. The bright popping colours and the cute and quirky sculptures are just SO ME. I simply had to find out more about this artist so I did some research and found out that he not only does sculptures, but also portraits, canvas paintings and even a special edition Romero Britto Bentley automobile!
