The much anticipated Catogram Capsule Collection by Grace Coddington for Louis Vuitton finally lands in stores today! Though not a fan of cats, I, for one, am incredibly excited about this drop because I’ve been a fan of Coddington’s illustrations since that Limited Edition Balenciaga Papier bag she designed for Fashion’s Night Out way back in 2012. However, unlike this Balenciaga version, her illustrations for Vuitton are much more animated, and colourful, which makes them 10 times more adorable.

Featuring Coddington’s kitties Persians, Pumpkin and Blanket alongside Creative Director Nicolas Ghesquière’s dog, Léon, against the reworked orange version of the classic Vuitton monogram that is reminiscent of her ginger-coloured hair . The collection comprises a whole range of leather goods, accessories, shoes, and ready-to-wear, including a pyjama set that we saw on Coddington herself during the Cruise 19 show. The selection of Catogram bags include the City Steamer, Speedy, Neverfull and of course, not forgetting, my favourite, the Petite Malle, and many others. Perhaps the cutest of them all, i.e. my absolute favourites from the collection, would have to be those clutches of a single cat or cat’s face, sans monogram as well as the SLGs. Oh and if you think the outside is adorable, guess what – the inside is just as darling, with signed, mouse-printed canvas. Mmhmm, you read that right! 😉
